Thank you for joining us in Hobart in 2020

Thank you for attending the Tasmanian Nursing and Midwifery Conference held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart on 20 & 21 February 2020.

The World Health Organisation has declared 2020 as the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife in honour of the significant and ongoing contribution of the professions to the health and well being of communities around the world. Fittingly, this coincides with the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

Tasmania has joined the global celebrations with a range of events planned across 2020.

The Conference got us off to a great start. We delivered a Conference program that included motivating keynote speakers and showcased the best of Tasmanian nursing and midwifery practice, innovation, research and leadership.

Building on the positivity of the Inaugural Nursing and Midwifery Symposium (2019), this event continued our commitment to creating a positive practice environment in Tasmania where we share and inspire each other and of course, confidently lead Tasmania’s healthcare system into the future.

We hope you enjoyed your time in Hobart!
